Spy Hop does a whole lot more than what happens inside our beautiful facility. We believe every young person should have access to media arts.

What’s happening at Spy Hop? Take a look and see for yourself! Students are making, donors are donating, and parents are, well, parenting!
SPY HOP PROGRAMMING GOES WAY BEYOND OUR FOUR WALLS.
As part of Utah’s Professional Outreach Programs in Schools (POPS), Spy Hop brings media arts learning directly to students through assemblies, workshops, intensives, and on-demand videos. See how these programs can inspire students to imagine new creative paths and careers in the media arts.
Schedule an Outreach Day and invite Spy Hop Artist Mentors to visit your class or school to share upcoming opportunities for students to participate in Spy Hop programs.

Prevention is woven into everything we do at Spy Hop. Operating at the intersection of education, youth development, mental health, and creative workforce readiness, our Youth Media Arts Center serves as a vital “third space” where young people aged 8–25 build self-confidence, media literacy, and community belonging—all proven protective factors against anxiety, depression, and substance misuse. In Utah, where youth face mental health challenges 14% above the national average, this work is urgent.
Our scaffolded, mentor-based programming in film, audio, music, and design is strengthened by Wyman’s Teen Outreach Program (TOP), a nationally recognized, evidence-based model that builds life and leadership skills, strengthens relationships, and helps teens avoid risky behaviors through weekly peer group meetings, skill-building, and community service learning. Together, these approaches reduce key risk factors—including depressive symptoms and social isolation—across our programs and through statewide outreach in schools, treatment centers, and juvenile justice facilities.
how your donation impacts our community programs
Your gift does something simple and powerful: it gives a young person the tools and space to find their voice. It helps a filmmaker tell their first story. A musician write their first song. A quiet kid find a place where they belong and people who listen. No red tape. No barriers. Just real support that changes lives.
And here’s what happens: those voices grow louder. Those stories reach further. That next generation? They start imagining and creating a better world..
